Art Educator

As a teaching artist and educator, I have served a diverse range of individuals and groups including children, students, at-risk youth and older adults, within museums, libraries, senior centers, educational institutions, non-profits, and social service programs. On a personal level, I am passionate about making a difference in people’s lives through education and the arts.

Education is not filling a bucket, but lighting a fire.

Social Emotional Arts

In December 2020, I completed a certificate in social emotional arts from the University of California Los Angeles. The program aims to empower educators to maximize social-emotional benefits of arts experiences and minimize self-judgment and anxiety that can impede learning.

Public Art Ambassador

As a public art ambassador for Time Square Alliance/Time Square Arts, I would facilitate conversations with the public around public works of art that were temporarily installed in the Times Square district. The intent of the program is to foster deeper engagement with Time Square’s wide and international onsite audience.

Artwork and Illustrations

The collection of art work that I am featuring was developed over my times as a graduate student at Pratt Institute. Other works were inspired by my research in preparation for the lesson plans that I created for my classes. Themes of identity, connectedness, and repurpose run through my visual musing.
