Life Maps: Personal Geographies

This art-making program explores “personal geographies” through collage-based storytelling. Participants created symbolic maps of their life journeys and memories by cutting and layering found images, and textures. The goal was to construct a tangible, multi-layered representation of their unique personal histories, transforming individual experiences into a visual narrative that captures the essence of their life’s journey.

SU-CASA is a community arts engagement program that places artists and organizations at senior centers across the five boroughs of NYC.

This program is supported by public funds from the New York City Council, in partnership with the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) and NYC Aging. It is carried out in collaboration with New York City’s local arts councils. Additional support is provided by the Tiger Baron Foundation, LMCC.net
